Led Zeppelin, live from Stockholm and Copenhagen 1969

From the humble beginnings of performing in the basement of a London record store to touring across the States on The Starship, Led Zeppelin's rise to meteoric fame is well documented and has left an iconic legacy. In the 1960's the band famously landed the biggest recording deal in the history of popular music at that time. Hot on the heels of this their fame grew exponentially. These performances, coming after a triumphant North American tour, come in a period when the band played dates in the UK and Scandinavia during the spring of 1969. The redefining of the genre had already begun here and can be heard on these rapturous and driving shows. Performed live at Stockholm's Konserthuset on 14th March, broadcast by Sveriges Radio and Copenhagen's Gladaxe on the 17th of March, by TV-BYEN, these gigs are an important historical artefact of the time. Travel with the Zeppelin and through time as you are teleported to the birth of hard rock and heavy metal again, in the lands of ice and snow.
