Steely Dan were branded "the perfect musical antiheroes for the seventies" by Rolling Stone magazine. This 2CD KLLT-FM radio broadcast from September 1st, 1993 comprises a recording from their first live Steely Dan performances since 1974.
Starting out as a group, Steely Dan evolved into a studio project spearheaded by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. Steely Dan flaunted a cool, complex sound personifying the 70's Los Angeles & New York over seven albums. Steely Dan's best-selling album was 1977's Aja, which was certified platinum. Three years later, they released Gaucho which would be their last until 1995.
This professionally remastered broadcast of their Riverport Amphitheater show in Maryland Heights, Missouri from September 1st, documents their critically acclaimed return tour.
